Children & Young People Awards 2023

This week ROC Northwest attended a very special night as finalist in the National Children and Young People Awards. After impressing the short listing panel with a nomination, wowing the judges at the interviews, ROC Northwest are among the best of the best in social care services for children, youth people and families. We were honoured to be in a room with so many inspirational people and proud to be able to celebrate with all finalists from across the UK.

These awards demonstrate excellence in the children and young people social care sector. Thanks to the hardworking, dedicated people across ROC Northwest who all go above and beyond, to ensure the best possible outcomes for children and young people, enabling them to live their best possible lives.

This year ROC Northwest were finalists in three areas, our best to date.

Brendan Prior – Fairfield

Brendan has developed over a period of time a safe and nurturing environment centralised around a Love Led Care approach. This has enabled children to be the best they can be, finding their identity and sense of belonging in the home and to be able to strive to achieve continuous outstanding outcomes to go and live a successful life

Culcheth house AKA ‘The Lion’s Den’ – the ‘cubs’ are at the very heart of the home. The team strives to ensure that they provide a family home for each of our children and work hard to make each child feel loved, safe and special.

Fairfield has built its home centred around love and with a love led care approach, they have a track record of achieving outstanding outcomes for the children their care for.

The team at Hawthorns are very supportive of each other, they all have unique skills, but all share the same passion and work ethic to consistently work to the highest standards and come together day and night to support our children. The team provide an holistic support in the areas our children want and need, enabling them to progress successfully onto independence, with focus on stable, safe accommodation, access to appropriate health and wellbeing support and empowering our care leavers to follow their dreams in their chosen career paths.
