'OUTSTANDING' in all areas

During its most recent OFSTED inspection Aroona achieved OUSTANDING in all areas. The inspector found that ' young people make excellent progress in relation to their starting points both socially and educationally...(they) thrive in a nurturing, supportive environment underpinned with clear and consistent boundaries'.

'The ethos and working practices adopted by the home encourages and allows young people to re-engage positively with their education, families and social contacts. Excellent relationships and a feeling of mutual respect between young people and staff enhances the progress made by young people'.

Aroona is a four bedded home for young people aged between 8 and 19. Two rooms have en suite facilities and two rooms share a family bathroom. All accommodation is deemed by Ofsted as outstanding.

There is an attached purpose built annex with independent facilities that can care for one young person, with its own en suite bedroom. Potentially this could be used for independence guidance or sole occupancy placements.
